For many travelers arriving from the UK, Burgas Airport serves as the primary gateway to the sun-drenched Bulgarian Black Sea coast. Whether you are heading to the bustling energy of Sunny Beach or the historic charm of Nessebar, understanding the local landscape ensures your holiday begins the moment you touch down.
Burgas Airport is well-equipped to handle the seasonal influx of international visitors. Upon landing, you will find a range of amenities designed to make your transition from flight to holiday seamless. Travelers can take advantage of currency exchange desks, duty-free shopping for last-minute essentials, and several dining options that offer a first taste of local cuisine. If you have some time before your onward journey, the airport lounges provide a quiet retreat, while the viewing terrace offers a great vantage point to watch the aviation activity.
Once you have cleared customs and collected your luggage, the next step is reaching your accommodation. Because the Bulgarian coast stretches across several distinct regions, arranging your transport ahead of time is the most effective way to avoid the stress of navigating public transport or waiting in lines. Utilizing a professional private transfer allows you to move directly from the terminal to your hotel, ensuring you have help with your bags and a reliable driver waiting to greet you.
While many visitors head straight to the resort towns, the city of Burgas itself is a vibrant destination worth exploring. Located just 20–25 min from the airport, the city offers a wonderful mix of culture and recreation.
When visiting the city, consider the following highlights:
Whether your destination is Ravda for a family-friendly atmosphere, the upscale surroundings of St. Vlas, or the ancient streets of Sozopol, the region is best experienced by traveling along the coastal routes. Di Transfers provides dependable chauffeur services to these and other locations, helping you navigate the area with ease. For those arriving and looking to head straight to their stay, checking the latest transfer prices can help you plan your travel budget effectively.
The Bulgarian Black Sea coast is best enjoyed by staying flexible. During the peak summer months, popular destinations see a high volume of visitors, making advanced planning essential. If you are traveling with a group or have significant amounts of luggage, a private car service offers the comfort of a dedicated vehicle compared to shared or public transport.
For those who enjoy water-based activities, remember that many of the region’s best attractions, such as Aqua Paradise Nessebar, are easily accessible via a direct door-to-door transfer from the airport or your resort. By coordinating your logistics before you arrive, you can spend more time enjoying the sand and sea and less time managing the details of your transit.

It is highly recommended to book your private transfer ahead of your arrival. Doing so guarantees that a professional driver will be ready at the airport to assist with your luggage and drive you directly to your accommodation without unnecessary delays.
When you book a private ride, your driver will typically meet you in the arrivals hall. They will hold a sign with your name, making it easy to identify them as soon as you clear the customs area.
Most professional services monitor flight statuses in real-time. If your flight is delayed, the operator will adjust your pickup time accordingly, so you do not have to worry about your driver missing your arrival.
Yes, most reputable transfer companies can provide child seats upon request. It is important to specify your requirements, such as the age or weight of the children, during the booking process to ensure the correct safety equipment is installed in the vehicle.
